Er schloss sein Studium der Mathematik an der Bundesuniversität von Minas Gerais ab und spezialisierte sich auf vergleichende Mathematik an der Escola Superior Aberta do Brasil. Derzeit schließt er seinen Master in Mathematik an der Bundesuniversität von Ouro Preto ab. Seit 2006 arbeitet er als Lehrer in der Primar- und Hochschulbildung.
