Beschreibung

The performance of a passive Q-switching of optical fiber laser system has been studied theoretically. The system consist of Er+3 doped optic fiber as active medium and Cr+4: YAG crystal as a saturable absorber material. The fundamentals of optical fibers and their classifications are explained, as well as the activity of saturable absorber materials, their optical performance, and the properties of passive Q-switched laser pulses investigated.
