People usually give explanation for their success or failure. They either ascribe it to themselves or externalize it. The explanation they give for their success or failure will affect their future. In line with this, this book deals with the explanation high school students give for their success or failure in learning English as a Foreign Language to see into its pedagogical implications. In order for the author to meet the objectives of the study, data were gathered through testing, questionnaire and interview from purposively and randomly selected sample population of one hundred forty seven grade nine high and low achievers of three high schools. Finally, efforts were made to seek empirical answers for the causal factors to which high and low achievers attribute their success and failure. The readers are welcomed to enjoy reading the details.
