Author Linda Clopton can attest that she is a lover of words, especially those that come from the Word of God. Words, to Linda, open up different emotions within us, and when we learn the meanings of words from the Bible, we feel more connected emotionally to the Lord. Thus defines her new, nonfiction book, Hidden Treasure, which comes from Linda's lifelong journey through the Scriptures to discover what God is revealing to us from His Word and how this changes our perspectives toward several areas of our lives: family, happiness, sickness, finances, etc. Linda conveys to readers that when reading the Bible, hidden words and/or complimentary words can stand out that give greater insight into what certain words in scripture verses mean. For example, the word "dwelleth" from Psalm 91:1 is connected to the phrase "The Well", which Linda translates as God's Living Waters and His Promises that resemble water easily moving in us and replenishing us. Linda's faith in the Lord can be connected to her parents' acceptance of Jesus at a Billy Graham crusade and witnessing praises for God while attending regular church services and revivals. She describes in fondness seeing her father's desire fulfilled by being Baptized in the Holy Ghost just like it was on the Day of Pentecost. Her strengthened knowledge of the Bible and God's promises also aided in the recovery from her major surgery months ago, expressed in Chapter Nine's "Testimony of God's Faithfulness", as she mentally dealt with apprehension about the outcome and her full recovery chances. Linda kept repeating the significant words of Scripture and remembering that God did not give her a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. They may, at first, look like just words on a page, but God's Word is more than statements and encouraging thoughts; they speak words of love from God's heart to our hearts!
