This book deals with the presentation and practical application of the Heritage Education project developed in schools in Santa Vitória do Palmar, RS, Brazil. It presents contextual and theoretical aspects of heritage and education. Its objective is to articulate research, teaching and extension through the strengthening of dialogue on heritage education in public and private schools in the municipality. The work is based on a joint effort between universities, schools and managers - both public and private - with the aim of contributing to the pedagogical development of tourism, providing children with greater knowledge and cultural appreciation. The book is organised into four main sections: contextualisation, development, implementation and oral history of the Heritage Education project.
