Hemolytic uremic syndromes are a heterogeneous group of diseases. The histological lesion at the origin of the different clinico-biological signs is the thrombotic microangiopathy. The positive diagnosis is based on the triad of mechanical hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia and renal failure.
