Autorenporträt
Julia Yarinsky, also known as Julia Goolia, grew up in Saratoga Springs, surrounded by her six brothers. Growing up in a big family meant that Julia was often cooking and helping in the kitchen, developing her culinary skills and passion of food from a young age with guidance from her mother. She also started working in fine dining restaurants at a young age, gaining valuable experience in the food industry. After college, Julia struggled to find a job in her field of study, but her passion for food and entertainment led her to take a job at a restaurant, as a ticket puller at local shows, and as an account executive at a radio company developing marketing campaigns. It was during this time that Julia got a gig as a cohost of a public access television show and as a host of an open mic, where she met JP. Initially, they aimed to make actually healthy junk food at home, but when they created a YouTube channel, they couldn’t use that name. So, they decided to go with HellthyJunkFood, a playful name that allows them to explore all sorts of food-related concepts. Their videos have since evolved from healthy to giant to challenges and hacks.
