As this part of Heart Experiences comes to an end I hope and pray that something was said to encouraged your hearts and minds. As I put my heart and the heart of others in this book of experiences I desire that when heart experiences come into your life good or bad, that you choose a positive outlet to help you deal with it, grow from it, and then finally overcome whatever it might be. "God is our refuge and strength, and a very present help in trouble" Psalm 46v1 "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, Praise ye the Lord!" Psalm 150v6

Autorenporträt
Rebecca Brown has been training and competing in the dog sports nearly her entire life. She first started off as a youngster in 4-H and from there she performed in many AKC performance events. Over time, she learned how to make her training techniques look effortless. While competing as team, her and her dogs have won numerous awards and titles. During this time, she also had numerous careers related to dogs such as a dog trainer, dog walker, dog sitter, groomer, kennel assistant, and professional handler. Rebecca Brown became a professional dog trainer in 1989 after cultivating a career as an ambassador for the dog-training community. However, she found herself drawn toward rehabilitating dogs with problematic behavioral issues like separation anxiety and social phobias. Afterward she realized that she needed more education, so she decided to work as a veterinarian assistant while attending a local college. Over the years, she has worked for numerous veterinarian clinics for a total of 15+ years, volunteered her time in animal related fields, and has donated her time to work pro-bono as a training instructor. With over 30+ years of experience, she has worked with many different breeds from the toy breeds like the Pomeranian to large breeds like the Afghan Hound. She has changed her training techniques progressing to a unique approach: The Soft-Handed Approach. The Soft-Handed Approach is a humanitarian-based program that focuses on positive, no-force methods. As a result, dogs will go that extra mile- because they want to and not because they have to. As a confident and skillful instructor, she explains how to offer your dog a consistent and positive response in every situation while building numerous behaviors and skills. In the end, you will discover that with passion and dedication any dog can learn how to become an exceptional well-behaved companion. Rebecca continues to embark on self-studies as well as adding new creative approaches to her dynamic training programs. The Soft-Handed Approach and her creative techniques are the building blocks behind her success whether she's competing in conformation, obedience, agility, rally, trick dog, or hiking with her dogs in the backwoods of Washington.
