As difficult as times have become, we can find lasting peace in God who loves and cares for us. He Holds Us Up on Sidewalk Cracks: Poems of God's Presence in Unprecedented Times is a book of poems reflective of those painful moments that creep, more often, barge into our lives. We can be victorious. We can find contentment. We can move beyond the imperfections and brokenness in our paths as we rely on our perfect God who sees us, guides us, and holds us up when we slip.

Autorenporträt
Charity's talent for storytelling was among the first signs of her blossoming skill as a writer. Her writings are charged with both realism, and empathy. These traits compliment her ability to impact audiences. With nearly 20 years as an educator, Charity strives to nurture, support, and inspire children to aspire, explore, and dream. She holds a master's degree in Education and is passionate about motivating students to envision greatness in themselves and in their classmates. She is relentless in her pursuit to bring out the very best in each and every student. Although she has experienced many of the pitfalls, we all encounter in our lives, she maintains high standards, and wholeheartedly believes that every child has the ability to succeed, and that every family deserves encouragement and supportive resources. With these principles in mind, her goal is to work to bridge even the most challenging gaps. Growing up in the church, Charity knows what it means to trust God and she attributes all of her success to knowing and believing Him, especially during stressful and trying times. It is her greatest hope that this written work will transport readers from moments of undeniable pain to those of possibility and promise. >With a master's degree in Human Services Administration, Regina spent much of her career in advocacy roles. She is familiar with the inadequacies of the day and has worked to help others navigate difficult, and quite often, dire conditions. From supporting abused and neglected children to assisting hospitalized children and families, her focus has been helping others in need. Regina received the gift of the Holy Ghost at 13 years of age and continues to strive to allow God to be prominent in her life. She is grateful for the blessing of knowing Him as a merciful and faithful savior who lifts beyond hurt, despair, sadness and hardship, and believes He is the solution to every problem faced.
