Afterward, looking forward to summertime pleasure, the cocky chicks give little thought to Mr. Boar's warning measure. But wait. One bedraggled girl sees his intervention as divine. How his lecture changes her world is told in Korte's last parody, My Mind Is Totally Mine. Besides being fun to read, this rhyming parody also promotes diversity, builds vocabulary, teaches valuable life lessons, and emphasizes the importance of education.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Entering the school of hard knocks at birth, struggling through college while raising a family during her 30s, directing a counseling business for 25 years, chiseling stone and molding clay to keep her sanity during her mid-life crisis, jumping into the writer's pool at age 70, receiving a 2018 CIPA EVVY AWARD (YAHOO!) . . . All this and much more make up author Mary Korte's legacy. Today she shares life with a wonderful, supportive husband. The two live in the Seattle area and winter in Arizona.
