Christy Jaeger, FNP-BC, MSN, is passionate about animals. As a child, her mother would find her sound asleep with her Weimaraner puppy, Sultan, under the family's huge maple tree; building brick enclosures for her guinea pig, Suzie Q; or walking her snow-white goat Sophie, around their Australian bush acreage. Christy's passion for animals led her to study veterinary science in America. Wanting more time with her Great Danes, she changed her major to human science, graduating from a nurse practitioner program.A dog breeder, dog show competitor, and canine researcher, Christy is the founder of Pawcrusaders.com, a centralized canine database and dog community. It is designed to teach, encourage fun, and provide canine resources and products that promote healthy dog care and strengthen the human/canine bond.Most recently, Christy collaborated with Harley, Paw Crusader's lead Great Dane, to author Harley's Harlequin Heart to share Harley's battle with Canine Osteosarcoma. Her goal is to help others cope with tragedy, remember life is precious, and know that with love and faith, together we can make our world a better place.
