A veteran of the United States Coast Guard, Jon McCarthy has worked professionally in EMS since 1996. He is one of the cocreators of the New Orleans EMS Field Training Officer program and served as the lead field training officer for nearly five years. McCarthy lives with his wife, his two sons, and a multitude of dogs and cats.
