Gholamreza Chabokrow ha conseguito la tesi di dottorato in Economia agraria presso l'Università di Saskatchewan, in Canada. I suoi interessi di ricerca includono lo sviluppo economico, l'economia della produzione e gli investimenti agricoli. Ha insegnato microeconomia, macroeconomia, economia dello sviluppo, economia ambientale, statistica e matematica.
