Autorenporträt
With a Pioneer spirit in her heart and courage to make a difference, Elizabeth continues on the path set out before her. Where other western writers depict females as the weaker sex, Elizabeth shows them to have strength. Not only are they strong mentally, but are able to physically overcome many obstacles when no man is there to protect and guide them. She takes these women on an adventure that tests them to the breaking pint, and when broken, how they come abut again in full strength, a strength that can only come from God. Her characters have become heroes in a world of very few, if any. Her novels, winding around fiction adventure, are known for their accuracy and authenticity of historical accounts. The fact is, not only is it hard to put the book down, but also. the reader experiences a wide range of emotions as they journey through the story. Elizabeth's novels are truly exciting and entertaining. Elizabeth has critiqued novels, poems, poetry books, paintings, and drawings. Her knowledge of writing and art landed her judging positions for various organizations. She spoke at Elementary Schools and Libraries about her books and publishing. Her drive to write came from moving to Arizona in 1981, where she fell in love with the topography of the West and a taste of what it was once like in the 1700-1800's. Life was not easy to live back then, but there was an unmistakable drive and determination to live it to the fullest. Elizabeth traveled the western states and became more enthusiastic with the West and the life one had to live to survive to keep going, yet in a place of breathtaking sunsets, magnificent mountain scenes, and unspeakable prairies, it created a foundation for her writings. She has been married to Jim for 49 years. They have two married children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. When not writing or painting she can be found reading her Bible, spending precious time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren or anyone that happens to stop by for some good conversation and a cup or two of coffee. Elizabeth is a very positive woman with a few sayings she lives by: With God All Things Are Possible; Never Give Up; Dreams Do Come True.
