Andreas Spira, born 1929 in Königsberg, died 2004 in Mainz, was professor of Classical Literature at the Johannes-Gutenberg-university at Mainz, Germany. He has edited two more of Gregory's writings in the Brill edition and has published a number of articles on this churchfather. Andreas Spira, geb. 1929 in Königsberg, gest. 2004 in Mainz, war Professor für Klassische Philologie an der Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz. In der bei Brill gedruckten Ausgabe der Gregorii Nysseni Opera hat er zwei weitere Schriften Gregors ediert; dazu hat er mehrere Artikel über diesen Kirchenvater veröffentlicht.
