About the Author Edna Mary Hunneysett was born in 1940 near Stratford-on-Avon but in her infancy, the family moved to a small hillside farm on the North Yorkshire moors where Edna spent her early life with six siblings. After passing the eleven+ exams, she was a boarder at a Convent grammar school and on finishing school, worked in the Inland Revenue department of the Civil Service. Edna married in 1961 and has eight children, twenty-one grandchildren and three great grandchildren. From 1977 to 1991, she worked part-time as receptionist at a BBC local radio station. She gained a BA Hons (Divinity) in 1995 and an MA in 1998. Edna lives with her husband, a retired teacher, in Middlesbrough.
