When the Grayslake Historical Society was founded in 1976, Charlotte K. Renehan became a charter member. Since then she has held society offices, co-chaired the Grayslake history book, authored three award-winning books on local history, and written two family histories. The images for this book are from her private collection, the archives of the Grayslake Historical Society, and various other sources. The author's proceeds from the sale of this book are directed to the Grayslake Historical Society.
