Autorenporträt
Mary Traynor Grabher was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and then in College Point, New York. She had the rare quality of seeing the best in everyone, and never lacked a kind word. As an Adjunct Professor of English at SUNY Old Westbury on Long Island, Ms. Grabher took a personal interest in her students, providing support, encouragement and inspiration to everyone who came to her. Grandmother, Mother and Me was adapted from an original essay written by Mary during her own college years. There was nothing more important to her than family, making this picture book a perfect embodiment of her ideals. Partial proceeds from the sale of this book go into a trust fund for her special-needs daughter. Another portion of the proceeds supports the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund.
