A community historian and writer, Joan Fudala has previously authored Pilots, Pigeons, Gents & Jennies, Historic Scottsdale: A Life from the Land, Images of America: Scottsdale, and over 300 history-themed articles. She has held leadership positions in several Scottsdale civic groups and is a lifelong golfer. Despite a high handicap, she enjoys the challenge, camaraderie, and traditions of the game.
