In 2008 Golden introduced OPEN Acrylics, a formulation of acrylic paint with slow-drying qualities that provides artists more working time and blending capabilities than is possible with regular acrylic paint and is well suited for traditional techniques and painting en plein air. Golden Artist Colors has collaborated with artists on significant mural projects, including: the Michlalah murals in Jerusalem by Archie Rand, Venus (mural) by Knox Martin, andindoor murals by Frank Stella and Roy Lichtenstein.
