As a community of believers, we as a people all had faith. We were committed to the movement to affect change, through our faith in God we followed-through. We prayed as a people, we organized, we gave each other rides to work during the bus boycotts, we held each other up. We helped each other get jobs; we didn't allow someone else's child to act up or to not respect an adult or an elder. We had respect for our pastors and leaders. We didn't know more than they did! It was a time when it wasn't all about me and what can "I have or get," or "he or she" has more than I do. We were all about what can I do to serve others so that I can get my Crowns in Heaven? We need to go back to the past, in essence we need to go blackwards to take back our communities and change our brand.
