Combining raw emotion with timeless truth, this inspiring story book teaches kids of all ages that God is with them through difficult times, and gives them hope that He uses seasons of darkness to bring freedom, healing, and beautiful transformation. Your child will be encouraged that even when they can't feel God or see what He is doing, He still has a plan, and more good things in store for them! Featuring vibrant and colorful illustrations which depict deep emotion, your child will be captivated by this powerful story, and ask to read it again and again!! Recommended for any child age 2 and up! (Many teens and adults have been deeply touched by it too!) Ideal for any child experiencing hardships or challenges, including grief and loss, fear and anxiety, loneliness, life transitions, friendship struggles, insecurities, learning disabilities, or chronic illnesses. No matter the hurt, your child will identify with the caterpillar's journey of growth and healing, and find comfort in knowing that God has more for them than this. Book summary: As a once tiny caterpillar grows and changes, he experiences the wonders and fears of the garden, the terror and pain of a dark cocoon, and the difficulty of waiting as God slowly transforms him into the butterfly he was made to be. Growth isn't easy, and change is often hard and painful, but, just as the caterpillar learns, God is near in every season, and He always has more goodness in store.
Autorenporträt
Stephanie Weaver is a children's ministry enthusiast who is passionate about teaching kids God's Word, God's character, and God's love. Her desire is to connect kid's hearts with the heart of God. When a nearly fatal suicide attempt left her with several physical disabilities including the loss of her voice, writing children's books became a wonderful new avenue for her to continue to teach the kids she loves so dearly, about the loving and faithful God who saved her life and gave her a second chance to live victoriously in Christ. She wants her books to inspire hope and bring encouragement to kids struggling with their own hurt and brokenness. Having grown up as a missionary's kid overseas in Guatemala and Papua New Guinea, she is passionate about missions and considers herself to be a missionary to the world's largest unreached people group: KIDS!
