J. Brian Huffling is associate professor of philosophy and theology and the director of the PhD program at Southern Evangelical Seminary. He is a visiting scholar with Reasons to Believe. He has served in the Marines and Navy reserves and is currently a chaplain in the Air Force reserves. Gary J. Whittenberger is a freelance writer and retired psychologist and has written many published articles on science, philosophy, psychology, and religion, and he is a member of several freethought organizations.
