Amanda DeLisle, a cancer survivor, grew up in Richmond, California, near the San Francisco Bay area where she discovered life comes with many lessons of survival. Born a double water sign and intuitive to her surroundings, she started writing poetry and children's stories based on her life experiences. DeLisle lives in Vacaville, California.
