Gloria Hendry is an American actress, model, singer, author, producer, and director. Her career spans over forty decades. Hendry is known for her portrayal as a strong action actress performing her own stunts as a martial artist in a Turner Classic film, "Black Belt Jones," with Legendary Jim Kelly, and another Turner Classic film, "Black Caesar," with well known the "Hammer" Fred Williamson. Hendry is also known for her role as, Rosie Carver in the infamous 007 Bond film, "Live & Let Die, Roger Moore's first Bond film, and Hendry the first 007 Bond romance with a Black Woman. Hendry, a Bunny at the New York Playboy Club for over 6 years where she was asked to be in a film directed by Hal Ashley entitled, "The Landlord," starring Beau Bridges, Pearl Bailey. In another film, directed by Barry Shear, Starring Anthony Quinn, entitled "Across 110th Street," and more. Hendry's award honors are: SPECTRE's A Tribute to Black Women of Bond Films by Sony Picts, Essence and African American Critics Award; A Dragon Award by Urban Action Showcase's HBO; An Inductee into the Masters Hall of Fame; A Dragon Award by Action on Film XI; A BiNational Film Festival Award. Legendary Hendry authored her autobiography, Gloria Hendry, James Bond and the Rest.
