Chuck Spezzano erwarb seinen Doktortitel in Klinischer Psychologie an der United States International University, San Diego, Kalifornien. In den siebziger Jahren erzielte er durch seine Behandlung der Kriegstraumata von Vietnam-Soldaten viel beachtete Erfolge. Heirat und Vaterschaft gaben seiner Arbeit eine entscheidende Wendung, die ihn als Beziehungstherapeut international bekannt machte. Seine Bücher (u.a. "Von ganzem Herzen lieben", Integral Verlag ) wurden in mehrere Sprachen übersetzt
