George moves to a new house in the country and is keen to explore his new surroundings. However, he quickly becomes very nervous as he discovers at least one, if not more, dragon living in the vicinity. This discovery really scares George until he buckles up the courage to tell his dad the scary news, because his parents don't seem to have noticed the dragons at all. George then learns a lot more than he had bargained for about the excitement of living in the countryside.

Autorenporträt
This book was inspired by the rural surroundings in which the author, Elizabeth Keable, now lives. Originally a teacher, Elizabeth has also worked with education partnerships, community organisations and specialist education, settings to improve educational opportunities for learners of all ages and levels. Elizabeth is currently a personal success mentor, living in the village where George and the Dragon unfolds and where she loves to observe the farming seasons and life in the countryside. Although George and his family are fictional characters, all of their experiences of a new life in the county are very real, and Elizabeth hopes that this book, along with other stories about George, will educate and entertain children everywhere.
