Njeru Rita was born in Kenya.She did her BSc. and MSc. in Egerton University Kenya.In addition to MSc research,Rita has also participated in joint researches.In 2014 she secured a position as a teaching assistant in the Department of Physics at Egerton University where she teaches Quantum Mechanics and Applied Geophysics at the undergraduate level.
