The study is about some consequences effect of feeding a blend containing both genetically modified (GM) soybean and maize using albino rats. The animals were divided into two groups (A) and (B) were fed on blend of genetically modified and non-genetically modified soybean and maize with experimental diets iso-proteinic and iso-caloric. The results showed that no significant differences (P 0.01) of body weight, and feed conversion ratio were found between the two groups. Therefore, the GM blend and non-GM one may be substantially equivalent. The differences among blood counts, blood indexes of…mehr

The differences among blood counts, blood indexes of PCV, MCV, MCH, MCHC and the relative fresh weight of heart, liver, kidney and spleen were not significant. No cases of mortality, abortion and sterility of the parents were observed during the study as well as no deformities of baby rats were seen.
