Elspeth leaned close, turned my hand slightly, gasped, and let go. You'd think my hand had suddenly caught fire or something. I didn't like the look on her face. Haunted by a past she's desperate to forget, Marcy must rediscover her lineage in order to save her future... or die trying. Marcy is stuck: no job, no school, nobody. The sudden, impending death of her grandmother prompts a hollow promise in the hope she won't be left alone. The problem with promises is keeping them. Just shy of her twenty-first birthday, not only is Marcy left with an oath to fulfill, but a haunting presence and a house full of buried memories. The key to Marcy's past and understanding her future lies across the Atlantic with a distant family she long abandoned. Faced with surmounting paranormal attacks, one girl must act as a generational conduit to heal an ancestral curse. Can Marcy unlock her memories and become the person she swore to forget in time to save herself and the last of her line? If you like Practical Magic and Legendborn, you'll love Nanci M. Pattenden's Generation Witch's modern blend of para-normal as a young woman learns to embrace a forgotten world in the search for deadly answers.
