is Assistant Professor in the Department of Sport Management at Brock University, Canada. Her research agenda is composed of three clearly defined, and often interrelated, lines of sociological inquiry: 1) social inequality, particularly focused on gender; 2) alternative and understudied social practices and subcultures in the realm of sport; and 3) qualitative research methods. Michele is a member of the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport (NASSS).
