Tonny Krijnen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media and Communication at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication. Her research interests lie with popular culture (production, content, and consumption), morality, gender, and qualitative methods, on which she has published widely. Sofie Van Bauwel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Ghent University, where she is part of the CIMS (Centre for Cinema and Media Studies). She publishes internationally and nationally on gender, sexuality, and media.
