Steven Bennett is Executive Director of the Horsemanship Safety Association (HSA). Developed in 1964, HSA is a program to teach safe riding techniques to instructors and equestrians. HSA received the National Safety Council’s Community Safety Award for Exemplary Public Safety in 1985. Betty Bennett-Talbot is the President and Founder of the Horsemanship Safety Association (HSA). Developed in 1964, HSA is a program to teach safe riding techniques to instructors and equestrians. HSA received the National Safety Council’s Community Safety Award for Exemplary Public Safety in 1985. In honor of HSA, Bennett-Talbot was inducted into the Horse & Rider Hall of Fame in 1996. She has also founded Heartland Horse Therapy, a riding program for people with disabilities.
