Founded in 1967, they are now the largest sports magazine in the U.S., and have won Publisher of the Year, Magazine of the Year, and an Emmy Award. They are based primarily in Nashville, Tennessee. Johnny Pesky is a former Major League Baseball player and manager for the Boston Red Sox. He is also a former color commentator for the Red Sox, and his many decades of affiliation with the team have lead the team to honor him by retiring his number and naming a pole in Fenway Park "The Pesky Pole." He lives in Boston.
