Stephen L. Wagner, PhD, FACHE, LFACMPE, has been active in the field of healthcare as an executive, teacher, and researcher for nearly 50 years. Dr. Wagner recently retired from a long career as a medical practice administrator after having held several positions at the Carolinas Healthcare System, now known as Advocate Health. He was also senior administrator of the Sanger Clinic, where he was instrumental in the creation of the Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Wagner is now a full-time faculty member in the School of Health and Medical Sciences at Seton Hall University.
