A theoretical review of the topic was conducted and an attempt was made to understand, through the discourse of two female gender studies teachers working in the field of preschool education, their perceptions of the possibilities and role of fairy tales in this debate. The meanings attached by the preschool teachers who had more focused contact with gender relations in fairy tales were highlighted, and the main gender representations contained in classic fairy tales were identified and presented. Through interviews with educators, we tried to find out why it is important to think about gender from kindergarten onwards and how fairy tales contribute to these discussions. On the one hand, we will analyse how fairy tales play a role in the social life of children and how they can be deliberately used by teachers to discuss this topic.
