Autorenporträt
Dr Sanu Kainikara is a former fighter pilot of the Indian Air Force and currently a practising Military Strategist, Political Analyst and Historian residing in Canberra, Australia. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of New South Wales, the inaugural Distinguished Fellow at the Institute for Regional Security, Canberra and a Distinguished Fellow of the Centre for Air Power Studies in New Delhi. He has published numerous papers on international politics, national security, and military strategy in reputed global journals; and has also presented papers, on invitation, in several International Conferences around the world. Professor Kainikara is a regular guest lecturer at several military command and staff colleges across the world. He publishes 'Whispering Thoughts', a fortnightly op-ed/opinion piece on a broad assortment of topics ranging from international politics to philosophy, history, and life's lessons.Sanu has so far authored 25 books: 13 dealing with national security, military strategy, air power; three collections of political essays; and nine previous volumes on Indian history with the generic title From Indus to Independence: A Trek through Indian History. This book is Volume X in the series that narrate the history of India.
