ARE YOU READY TO LEARN ABOUT FEELINGS? Sharing and caring are emphasized in this third book from Jean Voice Dart's Bully-Busting Adventures Series. Bernie, the posey-picking piglet, is having a heart-opening adventure on the farm. He invites you to join him as he meets his barnyard buddies who each share unique emotions and feelings. Bernie's friends have feelings. How are YOU feeling? THROUGH THE USE OF BRIGHT COLORFUL ILLUSTRATIONS and engaging poetic verse, readers are introduced to 10 basic colors (blue, red, yellow, green, purple, pink, orange, black, gray, and brown), 14 animal names (pig, crow, dog, sheep, cow, hen, cat, horse, donkey, turkey, duck, goat, goose, and rooster), and 16 basic feelings (happy, sick, mad, hungry, sleepy, confused, sad, scared, surprised, silly, hurt, laughing, proud, thinking, loving, and caring). At the end of Bernie's adventure, he has learned about feelings, friendship, and caring. "Then Bernie says, 'Yes! Friends have feelings to share. The love in my heart helps me listen and care. I care for my friends and I care about you. It's good to have feelings. Goodbye. Toodleloo!'" A PERCENTAGE OF PROCEEDS is donated to highly-ranked children's charities. Thank you so much for your support.
Autorenporträt
Growing up next to the Illinois cornfields, Jean listened to chirping crickets, chased lightning bugs, and created imaginative stories, songs, and poems. As a teenager, she wrote, "The Pig Who Found Music," a heart-warming story about little Bernie, later entitled "An Oinkrrific Day!" the first in the Bully-Busting Adventure Series. "Friends Have Feelings" continues the story of Bernie the pig and his barnyard friends. Multiple life challenges empowered Jean to become an author, registered music therapist, credentialed teacher, and certified creative and performing arts coach. Today Jean is a Certified Expressive Arts Grief and Trauma Coach and a Certified Art Therapy Practitioner. She helps people discover, identify, and release blocked feelings through the expressive arts (art, music, dramatic arts, public speaking, and creative writing) with her books, group sessions, and private sessions. She is currently authoring her adult book series based on the Podcast "Courageous, Creative Conquerors." It features stories and creative artwork from those who have triumphed over trauma.
