Jennefer Hirshberg (aka Nona) is a retired communications specialist with a master's degree in literature. Her career included positions as an assistant professor of literature and composition, a freelance writer for The Washington Post and staff journalist for The Washington Star, government positions in communications and public affairs, and president of a communications and public relations company. Throughout her career, she wrote news and feature stories, proposals, speeches and op-eds. Since retiring, she has turned her writing skills to children's stories and poetry.
