This book analyse the mechanical properties with macro and micro structural characteristics of dissimilar friction stir welding between AA6061-T651 and AA7075T651 aluminium alloys. Most of the researchers analysed the dissimilar joints with various combinations and different temper conditions between heat treatable aluminium alloys. Hence this investigation focus on T651 temper condition in which no attempt made by the researchers so far which have a wide range of aerospace applications. The investigational study on these alloys with various welding and rotational speeds along with different tool pin profiles is still not yet found in scientific archives. The tensile and hardness characteristics of the dissimilar joints were determined by varying rotational and welding speeds at constant axial load and tilt angle with respect to Box-Behnken design matrix. Mathematical regression equations from response surface method are generated and used for optimizing the process parameters.
