Francisco Vidal Franco Cisneros (born 25 August 1987 in Autlán, Jalisco, México) is a Mexican football defender. He is currently playing for La Piedad. Franco was one of the many uprooted young players from Toluca's secondary squad Atlético Mexiquense by then coach Américo Gallego. He made his professional debut with Toluca during the Clausura 2007 season. Within the sport of association football, a defender is an outfield player whose primary role is to prevent the opposition from attacking. There are four types of defender: centre back, sweeper, full back, and wing back. The centre back and the full back positions are essential in most modern formations. The sweeper and wing back roles are more specialized for certain formations.
