Authors Elizabeth A. Watry and Lee H. Whittlesey are longtime Yellowstone residents and professional historians. Watry is a researcher, writer, speaker, and independent scholar specializing in the American West. Whittlesey is the Yellowstone National Park historian and author of numerous books on Yellowstone. This volume, the second in this series for these coauthors, features more than 200 photographs from a variety of repositories including the Library of Congress, the Yellowstone National Park Museum Collection, the Yellowstone Gateway Museum, and private collections.
