Fort Minor hip hop band formed in Los Angeles, California, US in 2004 by rhythm guitarist and vocalist Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park. Although widely associated with hip hop music, the band''s sound incorporates rock and hip pop elements. Since its formation, Fort Minor has released one album, six singles and four music videos. The band is known for collaborating with different musicians. Fort Minor rose to international fame with their debut album, The Rising Tied and so far the only studio release by the band. The album included the hit single "Where''d You Go" which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. The band has achieved one top ten single on the Hot 100 (Where''d You Go). The album peaked at 51 on the Billboard 200 in 2005 and 142 on the UK Albums Chart.
