About the Author Author Elizabeth Pearson Welsh lives with her husband and their dog, Wrigley, outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Haverford, Pennsylvania, where she attended the Agnes Irwin School. She graduated with her BSN from the University of Virginia and currently works as a nurse practitioner in college health. Welsh is an avid runner, rower and enjoys hikes with her family. She is also a long-time member of the Undine Barge Club of Philadelphia. Besides writing, she also enjoys knitting. About the Illustrator Illustrator Berrie Torgan-Randall has been an artist all her life, beginning in grade school and continuing through high school with all A's in Art class. She studied at Syracuse University earning her BFA. Pursuing her desire to work with children, Berrie returned to school and earned a masters degree in Information Studies (Library Science) at Drexel University.
