Leigh Powers has had a lifelong love affair with the Word of God. A pastor's wife, mother of three, speaker, and award-winning author, she has published over three hundred Bible study lessons and devotions and strives to combine solid biblical study with real-world application. She is passionate about helping women find their places in God's great story of salvation. Leigh is a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has twenty years of ministry experience. In addition to serving alongside her husband in the local church, she has also served as a collegiate minister and led outreach to international students. As a middle school reading and language arts teacher, she spends her days helping students fall in love with books and discover the courage to tell their own stories. Leigh and her family make their home in the greater Houston area. You can usually find her with either a book or knitting needles in her hand--and sometimes both.
