Jimmy Ruth (J.R.) Hilliard Martin grew up in the shadow of the mound. Her efforts to compile an accurate history of Flower Mound and share stories unknown to most Flower Mound residents became of paramount importance. Images of America: Flower Mound utilizes photographs, oral stories, and facts that have been passed down through generations. It depicts strong pioneers and their love and sacrifices that give credence to the American Dream.
