Study was done to workout plant diversity of the Ahmedabad city keeping Vaidya (1967) work as the starting point to record the shift and the change in the species over the last four decades.1015 plant species belonging to 580 genera spread over 135 families are noticed.

Dr. B.A.Jadeja was born in Dhrafa village, Gujarat on 16 Jan 1969.He got his Master¿s degree with Gold Medal from Saurashtra University in 1991 & Doctorate on ¿Ethnobotanical study of Angiosperms of Barda Hills of Gujarat¿ from the Bhavnagar University in 2006. he has published 70 Research papers in international and national journals of repute.
