Floristic composition and the dietary relationship between Himalayan Tahr and livestock were studied in Sagarmatha National Park. The study was carried out in July/August 2006. Main objectives of the study were to study the forage availability and dietary overlap between Himalayan Tahr and livestock. Stratified random sampling was adopted to calculate the floristic composition of the study area. Total numbers of 45 and 55 species were found in Mongla and Phortche respectively.Since Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) National Park is one of the prime habitat of Snow Leopard and Tahrs are the major prey species of it. So the food competition between these two ungulate reflect pressure on food availability and decrease number of Tahr, which ultimately will lure snow leopards to attack livestock. This book is trying to evaluate food availability and competition between Himalayan Tahr and Livestock in the park area.

He completado mi maestría en Ciencias Ambientales con especialización en Medio Ambiente de Montaña de la Universidad Tribhuvan de Nepal. desde entonces trabajo en el campo de la conservación de la vida silvestre y la biodiversidad. Mi interés está en la biología de la conservación.
