The author has done her B.Sc. from Cotton College, Guwahati and Masters from Gauhati University in Zoology. She had done her Ph.D  from Dibrugarh  University, Assam. She is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Zoology In D.H.S.K. College, Dibrugarh.
