Autorenporträt
Mary Cresswell came to New Zealand from Los Angeles in 1970. She began writing poetry while winding down a full-time career as a freelance technical editor. She has produced publications in mathematics, aeronautical engineering, earth sciences, social sciences, and was sole-charge editor of the New Zealand Royal Society's journal and conference publications for ten years. Her main interests are in New Zealand natural history, particularly marine biology and conservation. Earlier poetry books are Millionaire's Shortbread, co-authored with Mary-Jane Duffy, Mary Macpherson and Kerry Hines; a book of light verse, Nearest & Dearest, and Trace Fossils.
